Centre for Training and Professional Development (CTPD) conducted an enriching live online session on ‘Storytelling’ for the Pre-Sales and Training Teams of Singapore-based patient-centric medical technology company AWAK on 28th February, 2022. The session was facilitated by Dr Sandhya Ruban, a certified professional Storyteller/Educator with an experience of 23 years having a vast experience of delivering rich and insightful workshops on storytelling for Corporates, Teachers and Individuals in India, Malaysia, and the USA.
The main topic and theme of this training session was story building for sales and pre-sales management, on the notes of which, the stimulating session witnessed a lively discussion regarding storytelling, an interesting feature of corporate training that is gaining immense popularity in each and every sector in recent times. Various aspects that were discussed include the various ways to build on board story before sales, prioritising the star product, connecting to a crisis through story, psychological tuning with prospective customers via the art of storytelling etc. The training was attended by the Pre-Sales and Training Team from AWAK’s Singapore Head office and Bangalore Branch office and was delivered on a Live Online Format.
The storytelling approach in corporate training results in higher retention and recall, thus leading to a memorable learning experience. This approach has the potential to act as a strategic learning tool in corporate training settings to meet precise learning outcomes. Essentially, stories help in connecting to the narrative emotionally, in a relatable and meaningful way. It is engaging, easy to remember, and appeals to learners of all profiles. Its usage can simplify a complex subject and can be used effectively to bring in change. Dr Ruban’s approach provided the participants with a new outlook on the aspect of storytelling.
Asian College of Teachers (ACT) undertakes a continuous review of its teacher training courses to ensure imparting high quality education. However, there might be circumstances outside of ACT’s control which might affect its stakeholders like if you are planning to teach in a different country, applying for a teaching license, pursuing higher studies or trying to get the certificate approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of a particular country then you can do so with the certificate issued by Asian College of Teachers (ACT). However, each country’s Ministry of Education (MoE) or educational bodies set certain standards that are indispensable for the pursuit of higher studies or teaching in schools in that country. So it can be a possibility that you may be able to use the certificate for higher studies or teaching purposes in one country and not in another. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you investigate thoroughly and check with the relevant authorities regarding the acceptance of the certificate issued by us before you enrol on a particular course. ACT strives to offer high-quality education and its certificates can be valuable for various purposes internationally, but still it is crucial for individuals to verify the specific recognition of the certificate in the country they intend to use it, especially for formal education or professional licensing purposes. This approach ensures that the stakeholders make informed decisions regarding their educational and career paths.
